Need another reason to attend the 2015 APCO WRC this April in Sacramento, CA? Now you have one. Just announced and released to all PSAPs in California, the 2015 APCO Western Regional Conference, to be held in Sacramento from April 7-10 is approved as a reimbursable training expense using your PSAP’s Annual Training Allotment.
Now each PSAP can send staff to the 2015 APCO WRC and submit reimbursements to the California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Branch for registrations, meals, and lodging. With the pre-negotiated rates of $107 per night at the host hotel, the Hyatt Regency, attendees can essentially attend for free.
More vendors, more event details, and registration updates. All these can all be found on the conference website at APCOWRC2015.org. Read below to see what news we have for the Evening on the Rails dinner too.
There’s only one place to get APCO quality training and see APCO vendors on the West Coast this year. With the APCO International Annual show on the East Coast until 2017, Sacramento will offer all of the amenities, high quality training, and engaging speakers that you see at the International shows.
That’s right. The training and sessions guide is now available to view. There are over 60 classes currently listed, with more coming. There will be no shortage of classes available, and some will be offered multiple times just in case it conflicts with another must see class as well. Download the guide here. We know you will not be disappointed in what we are offering, and maybe even a little surprised.
Palo Alto Mobile Emergency Operations Center
Ever wonder what goes into a large emergency response setup? The City of Palo Alto will have their entire Mobile Emergency Operations Center on display in the exhibit hall. Over 4000 square feet of floor space will be used just for their setup. There will be a number of assets available to view in their exhibit including a Mobile Command Vehicle, a Director’s Command Vehicle, an MEOC Support Vehicle, and an Incident Command Post Vehicle.
Come see the latest in mobile communications technology from a local Northern California city. See how it all comes together and then wander the exhibit hall to see each vendor and all of their products. This is a rare opportunity to see a hardened setup with real world applications and functional, operating equipment.
Jeff Johnson, Vice Chairman of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) will be the keynote speaker during the opening general session.
Mark Ghilarducci, Director of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) will be a featured speaker during the opening general session as well.
